Greetings in Christ,
Wednesday the fifth we had our second Parish Ministry Night, we were pleased to have another successful evening, in worship, fellowship and learning. We had a great showing of support, and are thankful to our ministries for all that they have done and continue to do in service to our community. We hope to see even more of our Church family in the coming month. Please mark your calendars for Wednesday November second, We hope to enjoy your company at the next Parish Ministry Night!
This Sunday afternoon our Philoptochos are hosting their food packing event to feed those in need! Please join us in supporting our Philoptochos and local community!
This coming Saturday the twenty second we have two events happening simultaneously.
Our Dance Ministry is hosting their embroidery workshop which is centered around the traditional embroidery of our Hellenic heritage. And finally, our Little Lambs Ministry is traveling for a day out at the Sweetfield farms. As they have done in previous years, they invite the whole community to join them.
On October twenty first, second, and third, Our neighboring parish St. Stephanos is hosting their Volleyball Tournament. This Monday is their Deadline for registration. I hope many of us decide to attend and support them in having a great weekend of faith, fun, and fellowship!
My Challenge for us all this week is to take some time during our personal prayers to use one of our spiritual tools, the komboskini. For at least a few minutes during the day, Pray the Jesus prayer, pray for the intercessions of the Theotokos, pray also to your guardian angel, and finally pray for someone you know.
