Greetings in Christ,
Today I would like to tell you about some phone applications that I personally use that may provide value to you in your spiritual journey as you live day to day.

St. Nicholas Cathedral App - our Parish app has our calendar of events, announcements for the parish and our youth ministries, and access to the live stream feed during all of our services.

Daily Readings App – I use this app to keep up with the church calendar, fasting rules for any given day, feast days, lives of the saints, troparia and kontakia and many common prayers. All of this and some more, in both Greek and English. It is available on any smartphone. Though there is a free version, I highly recommend spending the dollar it costs for the full version.

Pray Always! – This prayer book app is a great resource of prayers, daily and more..

Catena Bible & Commentaries – This is one of the best bible apps available. It is easy to navigate, and includes tens of thousands of patristic commentaries by 250+ authors. Once you select “commentaries by early church fathers, an=d byzantine theologians, you will have access to those commentaries by tapping on any verse. Matthew 4:4, had commentary from Saints Gregory the Great, John Chrysostom, and Theophylact. After the commentaries, it provides Related Verses from the Old and New Testaments.

Ancient Faith Radio (AFR) – I use this app mostly to access faith related podcasts and commentaries.

GOA - DCS / AGES Digital Chant Stand – Last but not least, this app has been a companion through almost every Church service I have attended in the last 5 years or so.. This app will appeal to those of you who like to follow the services closely. It pulls together the services for every day of the year, though it has a wide use and functions, I mostly use the reader version of the services to follow along. If you are interested in the music of the service there is also a wealth of resources within.
