Tropical Storm Eta Update 2

Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,

Glory to God! Through the intercessions of St Nicholas, the Archangel and the Most Holy Theotokos, we have again been blessed by God during last night’s Tropical Storm. I entered the Cathedral, the Office and the Community Center this morning, and all our buildings have power and no visible damage. There are reports of localized power outages and flooding in town, but I was able to travel with no difficulties this morning. Weather reports call for on-and-off rain throughout the day, so be cautious when you are driving as we all know our local streets tend to flood during weather like this. Thank God, though the main storm has passed and for that we are thankful.

In terms of ministries, the St Nicholas Preschool will remain closed today. All other ministries scheduled for today are virtual ministries, so they will take place as scheduled. The Office will function (not open to the public) according to COVID19 Protocols which means all business must be done only through email or phone.

Divine Liturgy will take place tomorrow, Friday November 13th at 9am, for the Feast of St John Chrysostom.

I don’t anticipate another Eta Update at this time.

In Christ,

Fr Athanasios
