Dear Brothers and Sister in the Lord,
Happy New Year! As the Feast of Theophany is upon us, the Parish Council would like you to know how distribution of the Parishioner Passes will work for the Blessing of Spring Bayou on January 6th. After weeks of discussion with the City of Tarpon Springs and the Pinellas County Sheriff, we have been granted permission to distribute approximately 800 passes to Greek Orthodox Christians who wish to attend the Blessing of Spring Bayou. Parents of divers will receive a special Parent Ticket in advance. Parents of divers will not need Parishioner Passes. Here are bullet points to know…
Tickets will be distributed outside the St Nicholas Cathedral beginning at 8:00am on January 6th
All tickets are first come - first served and no reservations will be taken
Tickets will only be distributed to people present. If your family needs three (3) all three (3) must be present
Everyone who plans to attend the Blessing of Spring Bayou MUST HAVE a pass.
We know this has been a very trying time, but our annual Epiphany celebration will take place. We will ask for God’s blessings upon our city. We will ask God to bring the pandemic to an end. We cannot lose sight of these important truths.
WE STRONGLY ENCOURAGE ALL FAITHFUL AND FRIENDS TO REMAIN HOME ON EPIPHANY. If you still wish to attend either the Divine Liturgy or the Blessing of Springs Bayou, a Parishioner Pass must be used. Masks and social distancing will be enforced.
Asking for God’s healing and blessing,
Fr Athanasios C Haros, Dean
Nikitas Manias, Parish Council President
